FAQ
How long will my appointment take?
A visit to your home for a mobile tan appointment will take approximately 15-20 minutes including set-up and pack-up of the tent and equipment. If you have booked a group appointment, we ask that everyone is there at the start of the appointment as we will get everyone to prepare for the tan at the same time and then tan each person in quick succession.
Is spray tanning safe while pregnant?
we ask that you wait until you are at least 12 weeks pregnant before booking a tan. There is no evidence that tanning is unsafe during pregnancy however we ask that you do your own research and consult your gp to decide whether tanning is right for you during pregnancy. We only use our all-natural green base tan on pregnant clients and you are welcome to wear your own mask during the spray tan. due to shortages in masks we are unable to supply masks to clients at the moment.
Can I get a spray tan while breast-feeding?
we ask that you do your own research prior to deciding if getting a spray tan while breastfeeding is right for you. there is no evidence to suggest that it is unsafe and we recommend that clients wear a breast-pad back-to-front to protect the nipple area and prevent your baby from getting a tanned face when feeding.
How long before an event should I book my appointment?
we recommend booking your appointment at 24-48 hours prior to your event. ideally two days before is perfect to allow the tan to fully develop and settle into your skin tone.
How long do I need to wait before rinsing off?
All of our tans are express so you can rinse off within 1 - 3 hours depending on your spray tan consultant's recommendation. when you rinse off, make sure it's just a 30 second rinse under warm water - not too hot. it will look as if your tan has washed away but don't panic, the colour takes at least 8 hours to develop and can continue to develop for up to 36 hours.
What should I do to prepare for an appointment?
the day before: shave (if you want to) & exfoliate / on the day: do not wear any perfume, deodorant or makeup, remove jewellery, tie up your hair and have loose clothing ready to wear afterwards. do not have a shower before your appointment, this will affect your tan outcome. If you really want to, you can have a quick warm water rinse an hour before with no body wash but this is not necessary.
How can I look after my tan & make it last longer?
Caring for your tan is essential if you wish to keep that glow going for up to 10 days! Make sure you avoid chlorine, salt water, coconut oil, soaking in bath tubs or spas and body butters. If you do swim in a pool or the ocean make sure you shower in fresh water immediately after so that the salt or chlorine is not soaking into your skin and drying your tan out!
Moisturise daily with our ultra-moisturising miracle cream & use our tox-free body conditioning bar to ensure your tan stays hydrated and lasting as long as possible.
If you go to the gym daily or do work which results in excessive sweating please be aware that your tan may not last as long as it normally would.
